Ms. Anton should be the Excellence in Education winner because she is that teacher you will remember always. She sees students for who they are, she has extremely high expectations of her students and epitomizes the involved and accessible teacher. She takes a personal interest in my success and builds my confidence. When you aren't sure of yourself she reminds you she has confidence in you, belief in your abilities, and will work with you until you are as confident in yourself as she is in you. I really like that she loves being a teacher, she is passionate about teaching and makes us excited about learning. She is kind in heart, very upbeat, funny and outgoing, and has a very close bond with her students. She makes learning a wonderful and entertaining experience for all of us. She keeps us engaged (you should see her crazy classroom of really great history artifacts) and encourages us to question and dig deeper. Her attitude and need to make learning fun is contagious and a class that every student she has looks forward to. I've never seen her not smiling. I wish all teachers viewed their job as a teacher as important as she does. Her devotion to her students is unlimited and much appreciated by her students. At the end of the day I know she cares about me and how well I do, and knows if I am successful so is she. She is a dedicated teacher that deserves this award as she is the definition of excellence in education.
