I would like to nominate my Spanish teacher, Kimo. For two years now I have been in Kimo's class. Although, his way of teaching is very different from the norm and can be difficult at times (trust me, I have complained several times about how much work it is) but all of that aside, it is very beneficial and you learn a lot with taking his course. This course has not only taught me Spanish, but it has also made me learn a lot about myself. Kimo makes you think in depth. Kimo is not the person who looks at teaching as his "job." It is what he loves to do. He loves being around his students everyday. He is the teacher that you can go to for anything. His door is always open. Personally, over the past two years I have talked to Kimo about just about everything. He is the person you can trust with your life. His door is always open for present and former students. His door is even open for those who aren't his students. His room is almost never closed. Before school, there are students there, at lunch there are students there and after school there are students there. Kimo is the person who would do anything he can to impact your life, even if it may be a minute part of your life. From personal experience, he has impacted my life, a lot! I talk to people who didn't even have him, and they say the same thing. Kimo deserves this award. He works hard, and loves what he does. He looks forward to coming to "work" everyday. He truly is the perfect example of "Excellence in Education."
