The 4th grade class at Milestone\'s Charter School has been truely blessed with an Amazing teacher this year. Jamie Sirota deserves to win Excellence in Education along with Teacher of the Year. She is loved and respected by students and parents and is one of those teachers that a will always be remembered for making such a positive impression on a child. Her passion for teaching shines thru in all she does. She has made learning fun and exciting for our children this year and gives so much of herself out of love for her job. The class raised money to help save land in the rainforest when studying that geographical area. She brought her passion for reading and writing into the class and ignited a flame in my son that certainly was not there before. Even though she has her own school age children she still gives of her own time to come in early twice a week for math club offering assistance to anyone needing extra math help. She has arranged reading buddies with older readers in the school to help those that need a bit more assistance.
