Mrs. Cain should be picked for this reward because she is a great teacher, she is one of those teachers that truly cares about her students and wants to see them suceed. We could not figure out why our daughter was having so many issuses in school until she starting meeting with Mrs. Cain for reading and we found out that our daughter is dyslexic. Mrs. Cain was given an opportunity to do a reading program at the school and only being able to choose one student from the whole school, she choose our daughter. Mrs. Cain comes in every day early to meet with Myranda so she does not miss to much work in her class, and at the end of last school year they were not finished the goal so Mrs. Cain gave up a portion of her summer to work with Myranda to hit the goal, that is dedication. Since Myranda has been meeting with Mrs. Cain her confidence in reading and other studies has boosted her self esteem. We have thanked her so many times for what she has done for Myranda and giving her the tools she needs for moving on to Jr High. I hope that you will choose Mrs. Cain for the Excellence in Education award because she truly deserves to be recognized for the great work she does at Harris Elementary.
