My wife Cathy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 11 years ago. The moment the Dr told her, she looked at me and said "Fine I'm going to beat this" After a couple years of surgurys and treatments she did beat it. To give you an idea of her determination, the day she was released from the hospital after her masectomy she attended our sons football game because it was important to him. She always puts others before herself. Through all this this she has been an inspiration to her family, students and staff. she has also participated in the Susan G Komen 60mi walk to support others and fight for a cure. I don't know of anyone one else that could go through everything shes has and still smile and know that she will survive. I'm not much of a writer but I hope you would consider her for this award. She truly deserves it.
