My journey started 17 years ago with a mole on the inside of my left ankle. I noticed that it had turned black, blue and red. I called my Doctor and he wanted me in the office immediately. He took the mole off in the office, sent it out to be tested and 3 days later my journey began. I surgery--all went fine--3 years later it returned--more surgery---no chemo at this point. 31/2 years went by then the wonderful news that the Big C had returned in the groin area--more surgery, chemotherapy this time and all went well-I can't seem to get beyond 3 years--I am a 5 time cancer survivor and am going through it again--chemo pills for 5 days a month--dry heaves, feeling tired, a bit of pain but am doing good. Next month I start the chemo IV for how long I do not know but one thing I do know, I WILL SURVIVE. A positive attitude is a big key to ones success in beating this nasty diease..
