![]() | Brooke was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer in 2006. She underwent 10 months of chemo and several limb salvage surgeries. She just hit 6 years in remission which is a milestone for our family. Through it all, she maintained her studies, played on the golf team in HS even through her disability and is now 17 and a freshman in College at NAU studying Biomedical Science. She wants to give back to the medical community for all the love and support she received from the Doctors and Nurses at Phoenix Children's Hospital. It inspired her and helped shape her into the wonderful human being she is today. She is truly my hero, words cannot describe how amazed I am by my beautiful daughter. I have learned so much from her. I am more than blessed that she is with us today and God has big plans for her. Throughout her journey, she has done volunteer work at Hospice of the Valley, Climb to Conquer Cancer and Relay for Life. I would love for you to honor her, she is not recognized enough for the life she leads and plan ahead. We need more Brooke Alden's in this world. I am proud to say she will be a part of our successful "next generation". Signed, |
