When you learn you have breast cancer, you might have fear, anxiety, shed some tears or find other ways to fret. Not my J!. Three years ago our world changed with discovery of the malignant breast mass but instead of concern, Jeanette had confidence. This from the woman who did not smoke, rarely if everdrank, had no family history and although her father had been an executive with the Hormel corporation she had stopped eating red or processed meats in college. Instead of reaction, she interacted with her illness, embracing every step of her diagosis, treatment and recovery. Surgery was just a step to cure, besides she would get a new set of perky sisters, chemo was her friend with the exception of what she called: "the red devil" infusions and she even adopted her motto: "bald is beautiful" which she proudly displayed! Who needs beautiful dark brunette hair anyway? She identified what women really need when enduring the ravages of this illness and has counselled many other breast cancer gals, even sharing and donating her rarely worn wigs! She would now like to develop a Breast Cancer. Survival Pack and is forming the elements for that. Cancer will not stop this strong woman and she will be sharing with and encouraging many sisters of the breast cancer sorority for years to come!
