Nancy Claflin has dedicated her professional life to improving the quality of care the Veteran's in the Phoenix area receive.She firmly believes in the importance of education and encourages other nurses to improve their knowledgge base to better serve our Vets.WHile working full time AND caring for her family she has achieved a PhD in Nursing- one degree at a time.She is an active member of NOVA ,an organization for nurses in the VA system, she has been a vital part of the education of VA nurses,and she is an all round NICE person. She never hesitates to assist other nurses and will always find time in her busy life to help-whether to answer questions or offer guidance.She doesn't do an nine to five job.Many times on weekends I have had a question and e-mailed it to her.I usually receive and answer within hours because she is monitoring her mail and exploring ways to improve the Phoenix VA.She always has a smile on her face and is pleasant and cordial but will not tolerate half hearted nursing care.Her personal problems and challenges have never taken away from the 200% she gives the men and women who have sacrificed for us.My life is richer from having known her and the lives of Phoenix area Vets are better for having her in their corner
