Maya deserves to be woman of the year because she Ronan, her 3yr old son, was diagnosed on August 12, 2010 with Stage IV Neuroblastoma Cancer. She continues to write to Ronan, through her blog RockstarRonan, even though he lost his battle with childhood cancer on May 9, 2011. Everything she does is for Ronan. She has even started a foundation in his name, The Ronan Thompson Foundation, to fund a cure for childhood cancer. She is always working so hard and deserves to be recognized with a title:)
