Violet Doskocil will be 90 on Oct 31st, 2009. She has dedicated her life to helping others and making a difference in people's lives. After raising 7 children and her full time career at Motorola, she began volunteering. She began working at St Vincent De Paul separating the donations. At 80, she stopped working for a paycheck and began volunteering. She volunteers 3 or 4 days a week at the present time. She also works at Queen of Peace Church where they make food boxes for the homeless and delivers them on Saturday morning. Her and a group of her friends stated the Mesa Dining room where they feed hundreds of homeless people every day. Until a recent injury, she was the bowler of the year for the Mesa seniors group. She still lives alone in Mesa, even though her children would rather she doesn't. She has given so much to the community and I think it would be wonderful for her to be considered
