Peggy Lynn

Peg is the most incredible woman I know. At the age of 35, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent radical treatment. Her husband abandoned her and their 3 kids nearly resulting in their being homeless. But this gal has the faith of no one I know. She accepted the challenge that God called her to accomplish. After 2 (actually it might be 3 now) additional battles with cancer and more surgeries, this single Mom started a non-profit organization (Heart Tools) that helps families as they go through paralyzing life circumstances like she did. Her goal is to create hope and cultivate growth for a new beginning. Over the last 2 years, this organization has grown to provide several programs such as "Leave Room for Life" Women's Leadership Group, "Make it Muscle" Youth Leadership, "Not just Sports, through sports" Family Outreach, and "Fear Not! Lead Again Men's Leadership Group. She is currently working on adding new programs for youth outreach, mentoring, housing and food programs. She has helped many single moms gain their life back and given hope to many, many single-parent children. She just led this organization to become a Phoenix Suns charity. She plays leader, marketer, administrator and more. She speaks publicly on domestic violence and breast cancer awareness. She was just rear-ended over the holidays which aggravated recent surgeries requiring physical therapy. I just talked to the woman and all I could sense from her was the excitement of being able to help others. This woman's resolve and faith is amazing and this is why I think she should be Beth's Woman of the Year.
