Overnight closures of I-10 set near downtown Phoenix for tunnel cleaning, sign work
Eastbound I-10 closed between I-17 and Seventh Street near downtown Phoenix from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 4) for tunnel cleaning and overhead sign installation. DETOUR: All traffic will detour onto north or southbound I-17. Drivers on eastbound I-10 can use southbound I-17 to reconnect with I-10 at 24th Street near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Westbound I-10 closed between Seventh Street and Seventh Avenue near downtown Phoenix from 9 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 5) for tunnel cleaning and overhead sign installation. Multiple on-ramps to westbound I-10 closed near work zone, including southbound SR 51; westbound Loop 202; 16th Street; Seventh Street; and HOV on-ramp at Fifth Avenue. Westbound I-10 19th
Avenue off-ramp also closed. DETOUR: Exit at Seventh Street and use McDowell Road to Seventh Avenue. Drivers on westbound I-10 can also use I-17 to the Stack interchange to bypass tunnel closure.
Southbound SR 143 closed between McDowell Road and University Drive from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 6) for structure painting and sign work. Connecting ramps to southbound SR 143 from westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard and eastbound Loop 202 also closed. DETOUR: Use 44th Street to University Drive.
Northbound SR 85 ramp to eastbound I-10 closed from 9 p.m. Sunday to 3 a.m. Monday (Feb. 6) for guard rail repair. DETOUR: Consider using
Broadway Road to Miller Road.
