Gotye didn't feel much glee when his "Someone I Used to Know" got covered on Glee - at least, not at first.
The Aussie singer has been blasting the show's take on his smash, calling it "dinky and wrong" in an interview with Sydney's Herald Sun, and telling London's Daily Mail it sounded like "it's playing to you from a cardboard box."
But Gotye clarified comments he made in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, instead calling the Glee cover "really clever," adding, "The nature of using reverb and space in a recording can change your perception of how a sound appeals to you." He also said that it was "really clever to transpose the song to two guys ... It was a great idea."
