Gnarly Zin grapes are from Lodi, the zinfamous appellation due to its ideal climate – long, warm summer days and cooling nighttime breezesfrom the ocean – and its well-draining, sandy soil. Gnarly Head grapes are grown following the Lodi Rules for sustainable farming, which aims to protect the ecosystem. A byproduct of these earth-friendly farming practices is complex and flavorful wine.
Irony Napa Cabernet – Irony Wines – Napa Valley
This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers layers of flavor, reflecting its varied terroir. Aromatic violets, tobacco, cocoa and bright red berry character leads into rich, concentrated fruit flavors of raspberries, currants and succulent black cherries. Minervois La Liviniere
Château Maris La Touge Syrah is a beautiful deep purple color. The La Touge Syrah is an elegant and silky wine, with layers of blackberry, crème de cassis, and dark plum on the nose. The wine is medium bodied with a supple texture, fresh acidity, and moderate tannins. Blueberry flavors lead to a long finish with soft, lingering spice notes, ending with dark chocolate, mocha and tobacco.
The Château Maris estate is located on 210 acres in the Minervois La Livinière appellation of Languedoc. La Livinière is the first village in the Languedoc to be allowed to put its name after the appellation name, indicating that this specific area produces wines of distinct quality. Château Maris vines are certified biodynamic by Biodyvin and organic by Ecocert. Vineyard management practices on the estate focus on increasing soil fertility and health by introducing live matter via compostand companion planting.
