This week's Grapevine Wine Pick of the Week includes -
Stellina Di Notte Pinot Grigio from Italy, offers fresh fruit flavors of golden apple, melon, and kiwi accented by subtle tropical fruit notes and a hint of citrus. This wine is delicate, pleasantly crisp and has a well balanced acidity. The finish is smooth and silky. A wonderful versatile wine, it may be enjoyed on it's own or as an aperitif, or paired with simple salads, fresh shellfish and light pastas.
Acacia Pinot Noir from California displays silky layers of ripe black cherry, and dark fruit character, with enticing clove spice and new leather nuances. Toasty oak notes weave through the lush, fruity aromas and linger on the palate. This beautifully structured wine complements a wide array of entrees, from grilled salmon or chicken to roast lamb and beef. The wine's gorgeous dark garnet color and rich, dark flavors come from Pinot Noir grown in Los Carneros.
Sterling Merlot from Napa Valley
Merlot is a benchmark for Sterling. They take great pride in this wine. A bright ruby in color, the wine offers aroamas of black cherry, spice, toasty oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Luscious flavors of ripe blackberries, cherries, cocoa, cedar, and vanilla lead to a full well textured finish. This pairs beautifully with New York steak, lamb chops and grilled Portobello mushrooms. The smooth, silky tannins make it wonderful served with a rich chocolate dessert.
...And, Bailey’s Coffee from Ireland. This is the NEW Bailey’s Coffee, that Arizona is the world launch of... It cannot be found anywhere else in the world other than Arizona at this point. Yumm, a fun little something sweet, too!
